I was not born a writer. I wasn't even born a reader. In fact, I didn't fall in love with books until high school when my mom forced a copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on me and insisted I learn to read for fun. Little did she know, she'd create a monster. I developed an unhealthy habit of binging on books. Fantasy, sci-fi, magical realism, Victorian literature, biographies, you name it. I was obsessed.

This habit continued in one form or another through the next two decades. Through my first career as a small business owner, amidst falling head over heels in love with my own prince charming (he's weird as hell but pretty much the greatest thing since naan became available outside specialty grocery stores) then later after I took on life's most outrageous and wonderful challenge, motherhood. I popped out a baby like a boss, stayed home with my child (which is way more intimidating than just birthing them) and I'd spent so long consuming other people's stories, it was time to create some of my own.

It was also around this time that I discovered romance novels. I suppose I was a little late to the game considering how much I loved to read and how many books I consumed but once I started reading romance, I couldn't stop. Contemporary, rom coms, romantic suspense, it was all so addicting, so fun. I couldn't help but throw my hat in the ring.

So I became a romance writer. Piece of cake, right? I mean, sure there were the minor details of finding time to write between my kiddos' naps and comically horrifying potty training habits. And I suppose actually learning how to compose compelling, charming prose that lifts and twists a reader's heart was a bit of a challenge. However, I'm a pretty wilful broad who was delighted to discover she absolutely loves to write stories. So here we are!

My newest release is a story about a young tennis star caught between the magnetic pull of her gorgeous, mysterious coach and the sweet boy-next-door, if that sweet boy were also an obituary pen for hire and spear-fisherman. It's filled with outrageous python adventures and globe trotting tennis tournaments and of course ends with a HEA... but who will she choose and can she finally snag that elusive Grand Slam championship? I mean... It is a romance novel so you can probably guess the answer to that last question but the journey is a hell of a ride.
