Romance writers blow my mind!

Two weeks ago, I returned from the Midwest after attending the Chicago North Romance Writers Spring Fling Conference, and I’m still buzzing. I spent that weekend playing dirty card games with seemingly straight-laced moms, sitting through publishing workshops that were equally inspiring and intimidating, and getting to know fellow romance authors who put the 'bad' in badass. These writers are balancing families, careers, dreams, and a killer work ethic. I’m one of those wild partiers who is typically in bed by nine p.m., but these folks kept me up late every night with their laughter, life stories, and quick friendship.

I came home feeling charged and driven to make my mark as a part of this incredible community. I also took a very long nap, because hell! Boogying with these writers day and night was the best kind of exhausting! I can’t wait to go back for more.
